LauraLynn’s new multi-disciplinary Community Team, of Nurses, HCAs, and Music Therapist, based in Ballinasloe delivers LauraLynn’s specialist hospice care for children with palliative care needs and their families in the communities of Galway, Mayo and Roscommon as part of the charity’s nationwide services. With a plan in place for the Ballinasloe Community Team to cover the West, Midlands and Northwest of the country in time.
Holistic care is provided free of charge to families in the child’s home and includes – hands on nursing care/short breaks, symptom management, family supports such as music therapy and social events, end-of life care and bereavement support. Families can also avail of these services, including out-of-home breaks (planned, end-of-life or emergency) at LauraLynn’s purpose-built hospice in Leopardstown, Dublin 18.
LauraLynn is Ireland’s only Children’s Hospice, caring for children (0-18yrs) with palliative care needs and supporting their families, from the point of diagnosis, through illness, at end-of-life and beyond.
